FAQ
Is the ride suitable for everyone?
In principle, yes—but be prepared: this is two days of off-road mountain biking or gravel riding. The Winter Bike Challenge is best suited for experienced riders with a solid level of fitness who are ready to push their limits and embrace the adventure.
Can I join with any bike?
To fully enjoy the experience, participation is limited to mountain bikes and gravel bikes—perfectly designed to tackle the diverse terrain.
How many rest stops are there? Each day features one fully equipped rest stop, strategically located at roughly one-third and two-thirds of the route. The perfect moments to catch your breath, refuel, and get ready for the next stretch.
How are food and drinks arranged?
Your weekend is carefully taken care of. Friday evening is at your own leisure, but on Saturday evening, we’ve got you covered. Look forward to a generous, winter-themed BBQ upon your return. On Sunday, we once again provide refreshments along the way, followed by a delicious pasta meal to celebrate your achievement.
What if the weather is bad? Will the event go ahead?
Adventure is part of the experience—but safety always comes first. In case of extreme weather with official warnings, the event may be cancelled. Due to prior commitments, we are unable to fully refund costs or reschedule the event.
What if I have a mechanical issue along the way?
No worries—you’re not alone. An emergency number will be provided with your start pass, and our team is ready to assist if needed. That said, we do expect you to handle basic repairs yourself (such as fixing a flat tire or adjusting your gears). Make sure your bike is in top condition. First aid kits are available at all rest stops.
